Another Character Design Commission

Here's another character design for Emergence! She's just a human but she's got a heck of a lot of firepower.

Warrior Character Design Commission

Emergence hired me for a few more character designs, this is the first. She's 1/4 elf, 3/4 human and one bad ass swordsman.

Superhero Alice from Wonderland Character Concept Art

Here's another interpretation of Alice from Through the Looking Glass/Alice in Wonderland. In this version she's a superhero, and guess what her power is? Uh yeah, opening dimensional portals! Plus she can float, as you can see below...

Killshot Games Concept Art Commission

I love working on concept art. Seriously, LOVE. It combines my interests in art, people, fashion and sometimes my interest in sci-fi/fantasy too. This project was no exception.

These are the descriptions that I was given to work with:
- Mixed race character [orc, elf, dwarf, human, etc.] in power armor with magic sword and magic shield.
- Character with magic bow but wearing modern combat armor, strapped with grenades and possibly handgun.

And here is the finished piece:
The character on the left is 1/4 dwarf and 3/4 elf, the one on the right is half elf, half orc.

Etsy Store Update

It might change in the future, but for now I've settled on the banner you see above as my storefront image.

There has been much progress! Unfortunately it's all been behind the scenes... So far I've only been listing items that will be for sale as 'drafts' which on Etsy basically means that I can see it but no one else can. I want to get some prints done to make sure they look magically delicious before offering them for sale, which means that I need to find the original files (amongst the many burned CDs I have lying around), format them for printing and actually get them printed. There was a plan to at least print the ones I have already formatted (around 30) but that's been delayed due to a color problem I'm having with Photoshop. It's been saving jpgs with really high contrast and saturation. :( From what I've googled it sounds somewhat easy to fix on PC but on Mac you never know if it will work the same.

Once I do have some of them printed, I will take pretty pictures of the prints framed and matted and on the wall, to make them oh so much more appealing. I also want to have shipping supplies on hand for when the items go live just in case people actually want to buy stuff. :P

More updates soon, thanks for reading!

Robotic Fashion Accessories

On a roll over here. This time I've got an intentional addition to the unintentional series. I'm having some trouble coming up with a name for this series, so if you have any brilliant suggestions please let me know. :D

  1. What/who inspired you to make a blog? My art, I'm hoping to get my name out there in the world.

Another Sci-fi Eye Drawing

Started work on this on Monday.  I started a little while after I got home from work and didn't even realize how much effort I was putting into it until I looked up and it was 10:45pm already. Finished it up tonight and it's brought to my attention that it's been entirely too long since I've really sat down and drawn. My hand was cramping, my butt hurt, you know how it is when deep concentration sneaks up on you. <3

I'd be willing to make it into a wallpaper if anyone is interested. Just let me know the size and I'll see if I can work it out for you.

Buffalo Daydreams

A friend DEMANDED that I draw him a buffalo (I didn't have the benefit of reference). This is the ridiculous result...

Game of Thrones and Self Portrait Sketches

Here's some more new stuff, I'm reading A Song of Ice and Fire series right now and it's been pretty inspiring in my motivation to draw. The first drawing is sort of based on Daenerys Targaryen, a character from the book series (and it's NSFW: boob) and the second drawing is a self portrait.

Lions and Trees and Ladies, Oh My

Been awhile since I've added anything new, so here are some sketches I've done lately. One is NSFW, although I suppose if your boss sees it you could always pull the "But it's art!" line.

The Future of Retro

Yesterday, in between pizza consumption and wild outbursts of uncontrollable laughter, I drew this in the two-person-breakout of Studio Sunday that happened in #42 while the main Robots were off in California for APE, otherwise known as The Alternative Press Expo. Note: Run on sentences FTW.
