Free Vector Again

I had some more time today to work on my mad InDesign skillzzzz (lol yes I know I'm a dork), and this is what I ended up making. I like how it kind of looks like cut paper, might have to try some more like this.

Let me know what you think, and don't forget to check the shop!

Free Drawing in InDesign

So apparently life in the advertising business gets pretty slow this time of year. Maybe everyone is just taking a break after the holidays or waiting to see what they get back from their tax returns, whatever the reason, I had some spare time today and figured any extra time I spend in InDesign can only be good for me, so I free-vectored and this is what I came up with.

I've been working on some infographics too, but since they aren't totally done yet, they aren't posted yet either :)

As usual, feel free to tell me what you think!

College Throwback: Cliff painting

I was going through my blog and adding all of my proudest art to a Pinterest album/board (which you can follow here: http://pinterest.com/gigglesinhades/heidi-schwartz-s-art/) and I realized that I've never posted one of my all time favorite paintings of mine.

There are a few more that I love and are also missing on my blog so keep an eye out for updates!

Character Design: Sassy

I dropped by Studio Sunday yesterday, I haven't seen the crew in a while so it was great to see everyone and meet some newbies. We got to talking about stuff in the plans for the future and I got to see some of what people have been working on. While I was there I drew what's above. And I've been working on a painting that I started forever ago (at least it seems like that long) and that's coming along nicely, hopefully you'll see in up here soon. :D

You may have noticed a change in the coloring around here, I got sick of black as a background, and eventually I'll probably get sick of this too.

Max 2

For some reason it's not letting me add to my last post, so here are the two versions that weren't in it. And F.Y.I. I named her Max.

Max 1

Well, hello everyone!! I had inspiration in the form of the front cover of Maxim (that I've mysteriously started receiving). And these are what I made, obviously they're basically the same-I played with the colors. It's all digital... There was another way that I liked the colors but I forgot to save that one, so I'll probably get it up here sometime in the future... I like the last one the best.

Textured Ladies

So these three illustrations were my first-time-experiments playing with texture in photoshop. They were done in free time about 8 months ago, I call them the Angle Girls. I'm trying to be better at remembering to add things to this blog, even though the only person that I know for a fact reads it is me. Hopefully one day I'll be a famous illustrator and then people will come here and be astounded that I am a normal person just like they are. Hopefully.
