Classic Fairy Tale Characters Available on Etsy!

The first four classic fairy tale drawings I've done are now available on Etsy! Follow the links below.

I'll be making the rest of the finished drawings available too.  The black/white and color prints will take a bit longer, but they are also in the works!

Here are pictures of the drawings available so far in case you forgot.

College Throwback: Cliff painting

I was going through my blog and adding all of my proudest art to a Pinterest album/board (which you can follow here: http://pinterest.com/gigglesinhades/heidi-schwartz-s-art/) and I realized that I've never posted one of my all time favorite paintings of mine.

There are a few more that I love and are also missing on my blog so keep an eye out for updates!

Black & Periwinkle Half Moon Mani

Below is China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le. I really like how the color looks with my skin. It's pretty much opaque in one coat but this is two coats.

And here is what I tried when I got bored of just one color - it's called a half moon mani. It was a lot easier and turned out better than I expected. All you have to do is use one binder reinforcement on each nail (I also cut a slit in each of them so they would move around easier and therefore stick to the nail better) and then paint on top of the base color. Make sure the base color is completely dry first or the sticker might mess it up. The black is Wet n Wild Black Creme (one coat).

Once again I used two coats of Sally Hansen diamond strength nail hardener as a base coat, two coats Secret Peri-Wink-Le, one coat Black Creme, and one coat Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat.

Fairy Tale Zombies Thumbnail Description

It came to my attention that even though you can blow up the sketches from my last post-you still might not be able to read my writing. In case you couldn't tell-the fairy tales depicted in the sketches so far are: Rapunzel, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Snow White, King Midas (and the Golden Touch), The Golden Key, Thumbelina, and Beauty and the Beast. I've got many more on my list such as Hansel and Gretel, but keep in mind that I'm staying away from any that have mostly (or all) animal characters.

Some sketches I've been working on for the Fairy Tale Zombies project. Got a suggestion for another fairy tale?

Max 2

For some reason it's not letting me add to my last post, so here are the two versions that weren't in it. And F.Y.I. I named her Max.
