Ghosts

What's up everybody? This is another afterlife piece from my thesis. This one is called "Ghosts" I found a story about a culture in Africa where they believe that ghosts haunt cemeteries and live in trees, here's my interpretation.

I've started two new pieces that I'm putting time and effort into but they are both unfinished as of yet, so in the meantime have some art...


This is pretty recent. I started it in acrylic, used watercolor to do most of it, and finished it in Photoshop.

4th of July Self Portrait

Go figure that I would post on a national holiday... Anyways I was at my aunt's house today for the celebration and I decided to practice my photoshop drawing when I got back. Plus I had the perfect subject since, while having loads of fun while I was there, I also got bitten by about 20 mosquitoes. So here is what I've dubbed "Stupid Mosquitoes."

The Skillful Huntsman Concept Art

I did character development for the story "The Skillful Huntsman," a Grimm's Fairy tale. Of course, I couldn't just illustrate it strait so I did my interpretation. I set the story in space with a futuristic/victorian style, and the huntsman was turned into a Treasure Huntsman. Let me know if you like what you see.




I'm adding these now because I just made a bunch of changes to the color one and I thought I would get it out here for people to see.

Textured Ladies

So these three illustrations were my first-time-experiments playing with texture in photoshop. They were done in free time about 8 months ago, I call them the Angle Girls. I'm trying to be better at remembering to add things to this blog, even though the only person that I know for a fact reads it is me. Hopefully one day I'll be a famous illustrator and then people will come here and be astounded that I am a normal person just like they are. Hopefully.

Heaven

Or it could always turn into what was memorable about the month or year... haha Anyways I'm now finished with my senior show. I created the concepts, sketched a zillion sketches, painted for hours and hours and was finally able to hang things on the wall that I could be mostly proud of. Awesome.

So there are seven pieces; 2 Heavens, 2 Hells, a Reincarnation, a Purgatory, and some ghosts. Here's a little taste. This one is loosely based on the traditional "streets of gold"/"second paradise" version of Heaven.
