Free Drawing in InDesign

So apparently life in the advertising business gets pretty slow this time of year. Maybe everyone is just taking a break after the holidays or waiting to see what they get back from their tax returns, whatever the reason, I had some spare time today and figured any extra time I spend in InDesign can only be good for me, so I free-vectored and this is what I came up with.

I've been working on some infographics too, but since they aren't totally done yet, they aren't posted yet either :)

Framed Plush Flower and Patchwork Scene

Now that Christmas is done I can finally post this! For my mom this year I went to St. Vincent's and got myself a big, cheap, wooden frame, cut myself a bunch of different blue fabrics and made three plush flowers and combined all of those to make this:

I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and my mom likes it too.

Emergence Character Commission

Here's the most recent character design I've done for Emergence. She's a half elf, half dwarf hybrid, as well as, a shaman/druid spellcaster.

Paraguay Economic Forum Logo Commission

This is a logo commission I just finished for the international conference, Paraguay Economic Forum (to be held in Milwaukee 2014). There are 3 other variations but this one is my personal favorite.

 And here are the others that I designed before the client decided on number 4.

Orange Cupcakes!

I made cupcakes! This is probably my favorite cupcake recipe.

If you don't like orange flavor, I've also tried this recipe with lemonade, grapefruit juice, and apricot juice with good results.

I've been re-reading the Harry Potter series and then I watched all the movies (what can I say-got a little obsessed :P) and got inspired to create this. I'm a little insecure about it because it's not a style I'm used to working in, so I'd appreciate feedback!

I've got similar posters of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in the works, and I'm not sure if I'll continue with other characters after those at this point or not...
